Enter The Dark!

Enter The Dark!

What’s the story?

For the first time in the brand’s 134 year history, Coca‐Cola invited third party experts to experiment with the quintessence of their legendary product.

In March 2018, some of the world’s top mixologists were invited to a secret location in London for a co‐creation workshop to put their stamp on a new generation of cutting‐edge mixers, designed to pair with dark spirits.

With access to more than 200 contemporary and traditional ingredients and hours of careful craft they delicately tinkered with their recipes, developing cutting‐edge blends with sophisticated, layered complexity to pair perfectly with premium dark spirits.

Once completed, their efforts came under the close scrutiny of an invited audience, after which the most popular prototypes went into production.

The result was a range of elevated mixers that light the way into unknown territory of dark spirits mixology.

Smoky Notes – Drinks and their Recipes

Bourbon and Coca‐Cola Signature Mixers Smoky Notes: a big, bold profile for a big spirit, it also brings richness from the wood to smooth things out beautifully.

Rum And Coca‐Cola Signature Mixers Smoky Notes: a mature and refined pairing, it provides a rich and complex mix, perfect for aged rum.

Method

  1. Fill a tall glass with a minimum of three large ice cubes.
  2. Using a jigger measure 50ml of bourbon or rum into the glass.
  3. Top up with 125ml of Coca‐Cola Signature Mixers Smoky Notes.
  4. Cut into an orange using a paring knife, digging just deep enough so you do not take too much of the white pith. With a smooth, even motion, roll the orange around your hand; cutting a wide strip of peel with the knife as you go. Stop when you have the desired length.
  5. Place the peel on a chopping board and cut into the orange peel to create a fringed effect, then arrange into your desired shape. Place the orange peel on the side of the glass so that half of the garnish is visible and half is placed within the serve.
